New grass-roots, hyper-local publications are popping up all over the country. We immediately jumped at the chance to design one of the latest ones, The Dulwich Diverter.
With the massive growth in online news and smartphones being in so many people’s pockets, it’s incredibly easy to discover nearly anything that’s going on anywhere in the world. At the same time, the traditional local news industry has continued its decline. This means that you can find out what’s happening on the other side of the world much easier than you can know what’s happening two streets over.
There’s a craving
This has led to a sort of hyper-local craving around the country, and in 2016 the people of Dulwich became the latest people to have this desire fulfilled.
We worked very closely with the editorial and advertising teams to come up with a design that is attractive, flexible, legible, and reflects the character of the area. Several issues have now been published, and the Diverter’s popularity keeps rising.
Long live print!
